Before you can start using Shine Enrich, you need to complete a one-time setup process that connects your account with HubSpot and configures the necessary settings.

  1. Navigate to Setup: From the main dashboard, click on "Enrich" in the navigation menu, then select "Setup" if this is your first time using the feature.

  2. Authentication: The first step is to authenticate with HubSpot.

    • Click the "Authenticate with HubSpot" button
    • You will be redirected to HubSpot to authorize the connection
    • Grant the necessary permissions for Shine Enrich to access your HubSpot data
    • After successful authentication, you will be redirected back to Shine Enrich

  3. Property Setup: Shine Enrich needs to create custom properties in your HubSpot account to store the enriched company data.

    • Review the list of properties that will be created
    • Click "Setup Properties" to create these properties in your HubSpot account
    • Wait for confirmation that the properties have been successfully created

  4. Webhook Setup: To enable automatic updates, Shine Enrich sets up webhooks with HubSpot.

    • Click "Setup Webhooks" to create the necessary webhook connections
    • This allows Shine Enrich to receive notifications when relevant changes occur in your HubSpot account

  5. Settings Configuration: Configure your preferences for how Shine Enrich should operate.

    • Set your default import behavior
    • Configure matching rules for identifying duplicate companies
    • Set up any additional preferences specific to your workflow

  6. Complete Setup: Once all steps are completed, click "Complete Setup" to finalize the process.

    • You will see green checkmarks next to each completed step
    • After completing the setup, you will be redirected to the main Enrich interface

HubSpot Integration

Shine Enrich integrates deeply with HubSpot to provide seamless data enrichment capabilities:

  • Data Mapping: Company data from the Norwegian Business Registry is mapped to corresponding HubSpot company properties.

  • Custom Properties: During setup, Shine Enrich creates custom properties in your HubSpot account to store additional data points that aren't available in standard HubSpot properties.

  • Bidirectional Sync: Changes made in HubSpot can trigger updates in Shine Enrich and vice versa, ensuring your data remains consistent across both platforms.

  • Import Controls: You can configure how and when company data is imported into HubSpot, including options for manual approval, automatic imports based on filters, and handling of duplicate records.

Once the integration is set up, it operates in the background, allowing you to focus on using the features of Shine Enrich without worrying about the technical details of the integration.
