Connect Shine to HubSpot

Install and configure company enrichment, AI conversations, webinars and website translation drafts for your team.

Before you start

You need an active Shine account, access to the modules you want to use and a HubSpot account where you are allowed to install apps. Intuvio assists with account onboarding and the initial module configuration. Sign in to Shine with the Microsoft account invited by Intuvio.

The HubSpot features available to you depend on your HubSpot subscription, account permissions and Shine configuration. Company enrichment depends on the data available from the relevant public business registry. Translation and chatbot plans have additional LLM usage costs.

Install and connect your HubSpot account

  1. Sign in to Shine and select your own organization. Check that you are working in the intended account.
  2. For Enrich, open Shine Enrich and its HubSpot integration setup. On the Authentication step, select the appropriate connection if more than one is available, then choose Connect to HubSpot. Intuvio will help configure a connection for the other modules you have subscribed to.
  3. Sign in to HubSpot, select the account you want to connect and review the permissions requested by Shine.
  4. Authorize the connection. You return to Shine after authorization. Confirm that the connection is shown as connected before configuring a module.
  5. If an additional module needs permissions that have not yet been granted, review and authorize those permissions before enabling that module.

What the permissions are for

  • Enrich: read and update company records and company properties. Contact access supports configured company-capture and association features.
  • Webinars: read and update contacts, contact properties and Marketing Events. Lead, list and timeline permissions support optional features.
  • AI: connect a custom channel to a HubSpot inbox and exchange conversation messages. Forms permissions support configured visitor information capture.
  • Translations: read supported CMS content and forms and save translated drafts and supported language variants.

Only enable the modules and data flows your team intends to use. A connected account does not complete the setup of every module automatically.

Set up Shine Enrich

  1. Open the Enrich HubSpot setup and complete the blocking readiness checks.
  2. In Settings, select the HubSpot property that contains company organization numbers and, when relevant, the subunit number property.
  3. In Field Mapping, map registry data to the company properties you want to maintain. Review any new properties before creating them.
  4. Choose how company updates and imports should run. Start with a controlled manual update; enable automatic updates and import filters only after reviewing their effect on your records.
  5. Check the result on a HubSpot company record and in the Enrich sync history. Add the Shine company app card to the relevant record view if it is not already visible.

Registry coverage varies. Information such as financial data is only available where the source registry provides it. The Enrich getting-started article provides additional background.

Set up Shine AI

  1. Open Shine AI → Chatbots and select the chatbot you want to connect.
  2. Open its Integrations settings and enable HubSpot sync.
  3. Select the HubSpot Inbox that should receive the conversations.
  4. Choose the Handover policy and whether the bot should pause when a person takes over. Review the chatbot configuration before publishing it.
  5. Test a visitor conversation, confirm that it reaches the intended HubSpot inbox and verify the human reply and handover behavior.

Configure connected form capture separately when you want a chatbot to submit visitor information to HubSpot forms. Use your approved visitor notice and consent setup for the data you collect.

Set up Shine Webinars

  1. Open Shine Webinars and its settings. Confirm that the intended HubSpot connection is active.
  2. Enable Sync to HubSpot marketing events. Complete any required registration-property setup with Intuvio.
  3. Create or select a webinar, configure its schedule, access mode and streaming provider, and review how people will register.
  4. Register a test contact and verify the corresponding HubSpot Marketing Event and registration status.
  5. Run a test session and check attendance information before using the data for follow-up. Enable optional chat timeline activity and interactive lead features only when needed.

Shine manages the webinar. HubSpot stores the connected Marketing Event and participation information. Follow-up behavior depends on your configured HubSpot lists, workflows and optional features.

Set up Shine Translations

  1. Open Shine Translations and choose the intended HubSpot connection.
  2. Select a content type: site pages, landing pages or blog posts.
  3. Choose the Target language, add any translation instructions and choose Load pages.
  4. Select the content you want to translate and run the translation. Review the resulting language-variant draft in HubSpot before publishing.
  5. If you want automatic updates, configure the Sync connection, sync mode, included or excluded content and automatic translation languages. Test a small selection before expanding it.

Translation results require editorial review. Supported forms can use configured language variants. LLM usage costs are charged separately from the subscription.

Disconnect or uninstall Shine

To stop a module's updates, disable its sync in Shine first. To remove Shine's access from HubSpot, a HubSpot administrator can open Settings → Integrations → Connected apps, locate Shine and uninstall the app. Contact Intuvio if you also want the associated Shine connection removed or need help stopping scheduled work.

After access is removed, Shine cannot make new authorized updates to that HubSpot account. Uninstalling the integration is separate from deleting existing CRM properties, records or translated content, and separate from ending your Shine subscription. Review existing data before removing it. Contact Intuvio about data held in Shine, retention and deletion under your agreement.
